Finance Project Manager
Dublin Central Office
Scope - Depaul Ireland and Depaul Northern Ireland
Full Time (35hrs/week/M-F); €58,493.00 per annum
This role operates in a hybrid working environment, requiring a minimum of 2 days in the office.
Role
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to provide support to our organisation’s Finance Team in
Dublin and Northern Ireland. This role will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager. This is an exciting
opportunity to join a diverse team of talented individuals.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Contract Management
- Assessing, completing and tracking compliance with Service Level Agreements
- Financial control and reporting on Service Level Agreements
- Monitoring and reporting on Restricted donations to the Fundraising Department
New Business
- Preparing budgets and assessing financial viability for proposed Services / projects
- Performing post-implementation evaluations of new projects to verify their financial success
Financial Control
- Finance lead on audit and assurance engagements ensuring deliverables are on-time and to a high standard
- Keeping Finance policies and controls up-to-date and effective
- Identify potential finance related risks, issues, dependencies, and oversee control improvements
- Support future growth by integrating best-practice finance processes and leveraging automation opportunities that support continuous improvement.
Other Finance Function Responsibilities
- Lead on Finance related change initiatives
- Prepare and organise documentation for insurance renewals and other contractual requirements
- Liaise with the procurement manager on tendering processes and procurement activities
- Representing Finance on cross-functional teams brining finance skills and input to the wider organisation
- Any other ad-hoc as directed by the line manager or the Director of Finance
Person Requirements
Required
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting
- Ability to maintain strong relationships
- Deep understanding of financial management, budgeting, and internal controls
Other skills necessary for the role
- Proficiency with Sage Intaact or similar accounting software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance multiple competing work demands, working to tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in the homeless services / supported housing or a related sector and familiarity with Statutory Service Level Agreements an advantage

Annual Leave Up to 3 years' service: 25 days per year
3 years' up to 5 years' service: 27 days per year
Over 5 years' service: 30 working days per year (Exclusive of bank and statutory holidays)
10 public holidays each year with Good Friday as discretionary day.
Day off and day pay for Christmas Day, St.Stephen's Day, and New Year's Day worked for shift workers.
Non-Shift Workers: Paid day off on public holidays.
Shift Workers: Expected to work on public holidays; receive an additional day of annual leave in lieu.
Non-Rostered Employees: May be entitled to one-fifth of the normal weekly rate of remuneration for the public holiday.
