What’s the role and service?
In your role as an Administration Worker, you will provide an efficient and flexible administrative support service to support the implementation of a new Barnardos Initial Assessment and Family Support Service in Dublin South Central.
What will my day to day look like?
- Attend Tusla and Barnardos Initial Assessment Referral Allocation Meetings taking contemporaneous notes of the meeting on a laptop
- Complete cases presented, cases allocated, pending cases and rollover forms following meetings and send to all attendees
- Send letters and inputting referrals to the Database
- Maintain a detailed and up to date tracker, which records summary statistics
- Manage and maintain all relevant referral information and correspondence regarding file transfers and file information received from/ returned to Tusla/relevant agency
- Coordinate and complete the return of the IA, intakes, case notes and correspondence for uploading on NCCIS system
- Operate all communications within the office (post, e-mail, telephone and fax and in person) in an efficient, professional manner
- Provide administrative support utilising relevant IT packages, ensuring documents are presented and formatted to a high standard
- Maintain an up to date and effective filing system
- Maintain an efficient, accurate and up to date financial, human resource and stock/ inventory recording system as appropriate
- Gather and collate information statistics and prepare reports as required, including administration of databases as appropriate to the role
- Monitor the team diary and undertake practical tasks regarding arrangements of team meetings
- Support the establishment of the team and office systems and set up
- Work with others to support the development of effective and efficient office systems, supporting a dynamic and robust team set-up
- Attend Tusla and Barnardos Governance or other meetings as required for the purpose of note taking and administrative support
What experience do I need?
Minimum of 2 years’ direct relevant administration experience essential.
Do I need a qualification?
- Junior cycle profile of achievement or equivalent minimum level of education.
- A working ability in IT Systems, word processing and finance skills essential.
Ability to drive and access to the use of a car is essential.
The post-holder is initially assigned to work in the Dublin South Central Area but may be required in the future to work in other locations in the Dublin area in line with Organisational needs and funding allocations.
