
Mid West Simon Community is recruiting a Head of Fundraising to lead the organisation’s fundraising function and support the delivery of its new Funding Strategy at a time of increasing demand for homelessness services across Limerick, Clare, and North Tipperary.
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team, the role will have responsibility for fundraising growth, income diversification, donor engagement, and the ongoing development of fundraising systems and processes.
The organisation currently has a small fundraising function in place and plans to further develop the area over time. The role will have a particular focus on corporate partnerships, individual giving, major donors, and philanthropic fundraising, with an emphasis on building sustainable and diversified income streams that strengthen Mid West Simon Community’s long-term ability to respond to homelessness across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing development of Mid West Simon’s Funding Strategy.
- Drive fundraising income growth and diversification.
- Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners, donors, and funders.
- Support the development of fundraising systems, reporting, and donor stewardship processes.
- Lead and support the fundraising team.
- Work with the CEO and wider organisation on strategic funding opportunities.
- Contribute as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Person Specification
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in a senior fundraising role with responsibility for income generation and relationship management.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: corporate fundraising, individual giving, major donors, or philanthropy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing fundraising systems and data.
- Leadership capability and the ability to work strategically.
- Alignment with the mission and values of Mid West Simon Community.
This role may suit someone who wants to combine strategic fundraising leadership with work that has direct social impact at community level.
Salary
Salary is expected to be in the region of €65,000 to €70,000 depending on experience.
The organisation offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.
