
LTI Assistant Coordinator
(Sick Leave Cover) – Courtown
Gorey Youth Needs Group CLG (GYNG) is currently inviting applications for the position of LTI Assistant Coordinator to provide cover for sick leave for the remainder of the current programme, which runs until 28 August 2026.
GYNG delivers community education and training programmes through its Local Training Initiatives (LTI) in both Gorey and Courtown. These programmes are funded by the Wexford and Wicklow Education and Training Board.
About the Role
The Courtown LTI offers a supportive and engaging learning environment for young people aged 17–24, helping participants to develop skills and progress to further education, training, or employment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the LTI Coordinator in delivering a QQI Level 3 “Pathways to Apprenticeships” programme, supporting learners and contributing to the effective day-to-day operation of the initiative. They must also have a natural ability to build rapport and professional working relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and delivery of the LTI programme
- Assist in the delivery and assessment of QQI-accredited modules
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator and wider team
- Support learners in achieving educational and personal development goals
- Engage positively with stakeholders, including learners, colleagues, and funders
Applicants must demonstrate:
- A recognised qualification in education, training, or a related field (minimum degree level)
- Experience in management or coordination within a community education setting
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with QQI/FETAC accreditation
- Experience delivering accredited modules
- A strong understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to support learner engagement
- A positive, professional approach to working with young people and stakeholders
- A full, clean driving licence
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of WWETB, GYNG, further education and training pathways
- Garda Vetting will apply
- Clean Driving License
Terms and Conditions
- Contract Type: Full-time (35 hours per week)
- Duration: Fixed-term to 28 August 2026 (subject to programme schedule)
- Future programme continuity is subject to funding and agreement between WWETB and GYNG
- Salary: In line with WWETB LTI Coordinator pay scale
