Case Management Worker
Dublin – Migrant In Reach
12 Month Fixed Term Full time Contract
35 Hours per week - €37,109.46 per annum
1. Role
The Case Worker will support migrant households accommodated in pre-reception centres.
The goal is to support families and individuals with their basic needs, to deliver ongoing integration support and to identify move on options and resettlement support.
2. Key Areas of Responsibility
- To work with all Service Users to develop good rapport and to deal with difficult or problematic situations in a sensitive manner.
- To employ a case management approach and to liaise with and refer service-users to appropriate agencies and advice services.
- Life Skills – Assessment and Practical Support - Building on existing life skills interventions to empower individuals in a more independent setting.
- To provide information and advice on education, employment opportunities and housing.
- To identify and deliver appropriate support to children and vulnerable adults
- To ensure all quality assurance policies and procedures are adhered to.
- To maintain accurate records, provide statistical information and reports as required by the Manager.
- To ensure confidentiality and professional boundaries are adhered to at all times.
- To work within the organization’s policies and procedures, both at a local and central level.
- To participate actively in supervisions, team meetings, training as required and relevant to the role.
- To represent Depaul at external meetings, with the direction and support of the Line Manager.
- To work creatively and exercise initiative to help the service meet its core objectives and ensure service user’s needs are met

3. Person Requirements
- Social Studies /Case Management Accredited Qualification (essential)
- At least two years working with service users with complex needs and co-ordinating support plans for service users. (Essential)
- At least one year of regular use of IT systems with a good proficiency in Excel & Word (essential)
- At least one-year work experience of using Cloud applications, such as Salesforce (Desirable)
- Experience of working in liaison with other agencies within the voluntary and statutory sectors (essential)
- A clear understanding of the case management approach (essential)
- Experience in outreach or tenancy sustainment capacity (desirable)
- Experience in working with families (desirable)
- Work experience of working directly with people from different nationalities (desirable)
- Good knowledge about the immigration system, legislation and nationality matters in Ireland
- Knowledge and understanding of Depaul vision mission and values.
