Newbridge Day Care Centre is seeking a Volunteer Treasurer to join our Management Committee and help oversee the financial governance of this vital community service.
Society of Saint Vincer de Paul, Newbridge Day Care Centre is seeking new Volunteer Members to join our Management Committee and help oversee the continued delivery and development of this vital community service.
Our Day Care Centre provides a wide range of services for older people in the Newbridge area, including a transport service, nutritious daily meals, day activity programmes, and a Meals on Wheels service. Open Monday to Friday, the Centre offers social activities that support older people to remain active, connected and independent. We welcome up to 20 patrons each day, providing a warm, supportive environment that promotes physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
In addition, our Meals on Wheels service delivers nutritious meals to up to 50 people each day, helping older members of our community remain living independently in their own homes.
As a member of the Management Committee, you will work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers to help ensure the Centre continues to operate safely, effectively and in line with SVP policies, HSE requirements and good governance practices.
This volunteer role may suit someone with experience or an interest in:
- Accounting, bookkeeping or finance
- Budgeting and financial reporting
- Governance or committee work
- Charity or community organisations
