Our addiction support workers are essential to our mission, providing support, advocacy, and education to individuals affected by addiction and liver health problems.
Our goal is to help people make and keep healthy lifestyle choices regarding alcohol and polydrug misuse. We’re dedicated to creating peer initiatives, identifying new needs, and including feedback from service users in our programs.

Community Alcohol Detox (CAD) Coordinator
We are currently recruiting for the right individual to work with the team supporting service users to access and undertake a community alcohol detox.
The role: The role involves providing one-to-one support to individuals seeking help with alcohol use, with a particular focus on those preparing for, undertaking, or sustaining community-based detox and treatment.
The successful candidate will work directly with service users while coordinating care across GPs, hospital teams, and community addiction services to ensure a joined-up, person-centred approach. The role also includes supporting the development of pathways, partnerships, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide one-to-one support and care planning
● Support individuals through detox and recovery
● Coordinate care across health and community services
● Support access to treatment, including residential options
● Contribute to service development and partnership working
Reporting: The Community Alcohol Detox broker will report to the Team Leader on a day-to-day basis and will also be supervised by them. Community Response and its work will be informed and guided by the project's strategic plan and mission.![:0]()

Recruitment Details
Each candidate must possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the post. Upon offer of contract, the successful candidate will be required to provide:
● Subject to two satisfactory work references, including the most recent employer
● Original documentation for all qualification requirements for the post.
● Offers will be subject to Community Response’s Garda Vetting process.
Remuneration:
The salary scale for this post is aligned with the HSE Grade V (Clerical) scale. The starting point will normally be at Point 1, in line with relevant experience and organisational policy.
