Transport Escort
Position: 1 x Part-Time (6 hrs/week)
Hourly Rate: €15
Contract Duration: 1 Year
About the Role
Cali is seeking a caring and responsible Transport Escort to support the safe transport of our young adults. This important role helps ensure the smooth daily running of our service and requires reliability, patience, and strong communication skills.
You will work alongside our drivers to support passengers during collection and drop-off, ensuring safety, comfort, and a positive experience throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Be present on transport from the first pick-up to the final set-down.
- Supervise passengers while boarding, travelling, and alighting.
- Ensure seatbelts, harnesses, and straps are correctly secured.
- Safely assist passengers with varying needs, including those with disabilities.
- Act as a liaison between Cali staff, carers, and families when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Provide basic first aid or administer emergency rescue medication if needed.
- Keep accurate journey records and report any concerns to the Centre Manager.
- Attend staff training sessions and meetings as required.
- Adhere to all Cali policies, procedures, and the Escort Handbook.
Hours
Part-Time Escort: 6 hrs/week
Morning shift: 8:15am – 9:45am
Afternoon shift: 3:30pm – 5:00pm
2 days per week. Additional shifts may be available depending on service needs.
Requirements
- Compassionate, patient, and responsible.
- Ability to work well with passengers with varying needs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to undertake training (first aid, policies, procedures).
Location: Cali Centre (transport routes will be assigned)
Note: Cali operates year-round with set closure dates requiring the use of annual leave.
