Role Description:
The Head of IT Infrastructure and Transformation will be responsible for the management and transformation of the National SPCA’s multi-site Facilities and IT systems across 4 locations – Dublin, Longford, Wicklow and Mallow. The role will lead and manage significant ongoing development projects across all sites to ensure our facilities are best in class in terms of animal welfare standards, durability, sustainability and efficiency. In addition, the role will work with external partners and internal departments to develop a future proofed IT and Data architecture and service model that enables seamless management of our processes, prioritises the efficient management of animals in our care, and ensures our staff have the most up to date tools to efficiently and effectively carry out their roles. The role will deliver the facilities and IT architecture within budget working with external and internal partners and utilizing best in class programme management capability.
Duties:
· Working collaboratively with colleagues, lead the design, development and implementation of an IT architecture that supports our animal welfare processes and objectives, delivers increased operating efficiency, while simplifying processes for staff, volunteers, customers and supporters.
· Responsible for leading the Facilities Management function to coordinate the physical workplace of The Society with the people and the work of the organisation, ensuring adherence to animal welfare and health and safety standards throughout our infrastructure.
· Responsible for the smooth running of our technology systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the strategic development, implementation and maintenance of our organisation’s technology needs.
· Leverage available and new technology, both in-house and outsourced in a focused way to deliver increased operational efficiency, with a particular focus on automating and digitising processes to drive seamless interactions between departments.
· Ensure our network of animal shelter, veterinary and boarding facilities are consistently developed and enhanced, within budgetary parameters, to deliver a high-quality infrastructure that effectively supports our animal welfare standards and reputation as the National SPCA, aligned with our strategic roadmap.
· Lead the development and execution of a programme plan through the leadership of the PMO, to deliver the various Facilities and IT improvements ensuring best practice in programme management while maximising value for money for the organisation.
· Manage outsourced partners to maximise strategic capability, service quality, efficiency and value for the organisation.
· Partner with HR and Operations colleagues to develop appropriate training programmes for both staff and volunteers to ensure maximum and effective utilisation of technology and systems in their daily activities.
· Working with the Operations Management team, develop and implement a comprehensive set KPI’s/Scorecard that effectively and transparently tracks Facilities and IT performance across key parameters
· Support the Director of Operations in providing quality programme and operational updates and insights to the CEO/SLT monthly.

Experience:
· 5-8 years of experience of leading and delivering high impact and complex infrastructure transformation.
· Proven Facilities and IT management experience in a medium sized organisation.
· Demonstrable programme management expertise with experience in delivering high impact change programmes on time and within budget.
· Management experience within a multi-site environment with sound understanding of IT architecture, systems and processes. Experience in procuring and managing outsourced IT and Facilities providers.
Education:
· Degree qualified in Business, IT, or relevant field. Master’s Degree level education desirable.

Working Hours:
· Permanent, Full Time Role – 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
