About Malone Impact Ireland
Malone Impact Ltd is a newly established company building the Irish and EU arm of Malone Unlimited, a Birmingham, Alabama-based nonprofit lender that grows women-led and underrepresented small businesses through revenue-based financing, financial coaching, and community programming. Malone Impact Ireland brings that same mission and approach to Ireland's social impact ecosystem, with the mandate to define what that presence looks like from the ground up.
The role
This is Malone Impact Ltd's first Irish hire. This is a part time, flexible, business development role, intentionally open in scope. You will work directly with the Founder to map the Irish social impact landscape, identify where Malone Impact can add genuine value, and convert that into signed consultancy engagements. These engagements may span impact reporting and research, fund operational support, startup financial coaching and capital readiness, or investor education, depending on where the strongest opportunities emerge — the engagements themselves will be delivered by the Founder, with this role focused on identifying and landing them.
This suits someone who is motivated by building something new rather than executing an established playbook. You will have real influence over how the role and the organisation develop as Malone Impact Ireland grows.
What you'll do
- Map out the social impact and start up landscape in Ireland then the EU
- Build and manage relationships with impact funds, organizations that support social enterprise vehicles, investor networks
- Identify and qualify near-term paid engagements, particularly evaluation/impact-measurement consultancy opportunities.
- Work to land contracts for consultancy projects.
- Track ISIF portfolio announcements and credit union SME lending developments for new fund administration prospects.
- Represent Malone Impact Ireland at relevant industry events (e.g. Irish Funds' Global Funds Conference, National Social Enterprise Awards).
What you bring
- Experience in the Irish social impact ecosystem. Prior work at or alongside CFI, SFF, Clann Credo, Enterprise Ireland, or an Irish Funds member firm is strongly preferred.
- Comfort operating as a first hire in a small, early-stage organisation - self-directed, resourceful, at ease with ambiguity.
- Genuine relationship-building and business development instincts; confident representing an early-stage mission-driven organisation to established institutions.
- Alignment with Malone's mission around women's economic empowerment.
Terms
- Probationary period: 6 months, with regular check-ins and a documented review process.
- Statutory entitlements apply pro-rata to hours worked: annual leave, public holidays, and statutory sick pay (5 days/year at 70% of normal wages, capped at €110/day).
- Pension auto-enrollment
- Notice period: statutory minimum applies based on length of service (1 week under 2 years' service), set out in full in the written contract.
