The Role
Community Response is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Worker. This is a frontline role, with advocacy and outreach forming part of service delivery rather than a management or strategic function. You will work closely with service users, colleagues and partner agencies to support people engaging in change and recovery processes. Following the successful completion of probation, staff have access to various training opportunities, workshops, and conferences in addiction and social care. We are committed to supporting professional development while making a meaningful impact in the community.
Essential Criteria
● At least two years of experience working in the field of addiction.
● Experience in providing group and one-to-one support for people affected by addiction.
● A third-level qualification (minimum Level 8) in addiction, social care, healthcare, community development or a related field.
● Strong IT and administrative skills, including the use of Salesforce and record keeping.
● The ability to work calmly under pressure and apply trauma‑informed and evidence‑based approaches to addiction and recovery support
Key Responsibilities
● Work as part of the Community Response team.
● Deliver alcohol support workshops to service users, professionals and the wider community, focusing, but not limited to, harm-reduction and recovery pathways.
● Provide one-on-one support, assessments, key working and care planning.
● Co-facilitate information-based and therapeutic workshops for service users.
● Liaise with relevant individuals, groups, communities, healthcare providers, and others involved in the service users' care.
● Always apply a client-centred, trauma-informed approach and respectful approach.
● Openness and interest in working on organisational communications (social media, newsletter, etc).
● Any other reasonable duties consistent with the role, as directed by the Director or the Management Committee.
This full-time position requires 35 hours per week. It is a permanent contract subject to ongoing annual funding, a six-month probationary period, and Garda vetting. Salary: Based on the HSE Social Care Worker Scale (with qualifications), appointees typically start at point one, though a higher starting point may be offered for recognised prior experience.
