Job Title: Project Worker
Reporting to: Service Manager
Location: Thurles
Job Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week.
Annual Salary: €33,080 per annum and increasing on a 14 point scale.
NOVAS are seeking an experienced Project Worker to join their Thurles Project team. The Project Worker is responsible for supporting clients, sourcing appropriate housing options and ensuring effective day to day running of the project, all aspects of health and safety, hygiene and physical environment is kept to a high standard at times. The role is situated in the Mitchel Street project, with outreach as part of the role This role includes day and evening work (8-hour shifts), weekend work (8/15 hour shifts) and Sleepover shifts.
NOVAS is a Trauma Informed practice organisation and the principles of collaboration, diversity, respect and trust are embedded in our way of working together. Our services are provided through support of our partners in local government through the Local Authorities, HSE, and other donors and funders
Desirable Skills and Knowledge ((Please see click apply to view the full Job Description for complete Person Specification)
- A minimum of Level 7 Ordinary Degree or higher (National Framework of Qualifications) in Social Care or another allied health profession. Registration as a Social Care Worker with CORU will also be considered.
- Experience of working with homeless people or similar
- Commitment to low threshold and harm reduction approaches
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to utilise IT systems effectively
